The Climb

Falling down once again
She fought her way back
Clawing through the dirt
Thinking about her mother’s
Constant battle to support a family
And doing so with grace
About her sister struggling
To find herself, never giving up
Tears strolling down her face
About her daughter and the
Example that should be set for her
To be a woman she could emulate
She climbed to the top
And looked below
At the long distance
Then sat upon the crest
Feeling accomplished for today
And the warrior lied down to rest
