Behind He is She

It was simple:
The way the sun
Beckoned the highlights in her hair,
How she delicately ran her finger
Across his lips,
Relishing in their suppleness,
Her soothing voice that quieted
Even his most boisterous tempest;

But mostly,
And perhaps unconsciously,
It was the way she silently
Undertook all of his demons
And made them her own,
Dividing her fortitude among the two,
Helping him become a better man.
